First, the tablet company decided to sue Amazon.com for trademark infringement and unfair competition after it determined that Amazon was using Apple’s phrase “App Store” on its site. Next, a group of United States Senators, including New York’s Charles Schumer and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, called Apple out for selling apps that send alerts to consumers to let them know where there will be a DUI checkpoint.
