Plasticine iPad, Stopmotion Creativity At Its Best (Video) Posted: 31 Mar 2011 08:28 AM PDT If your still waiting to get your hands on Apple’s new iPad 2 then this stopmotion video of a iPad made entirely from plasticine might help ease the pain a little and put a smile on your face. I have always enjoyed creating things from plasticine, but this innovative creation is an example of some fantastic modelling skills. The video has been shot for a Post Digital Brief at the British Higher School of Art and Design (Moscow) and shows some great creativity. Due to the SUNIX VGA2788 Super-Speed USB 3.0 graphics adapter design it only draws a maximum of 400mA current allowing it to also be backward compatible with USB 2.0 ports as well if required. Its also capable of being used with four USB 3.0 graphic adapters simultaneously and has automatic recognition of monitor type, resolution, and features. The GOPANO micro simply clips onto your iPhone 4 and using the accompanying application allows you to take 360 degree video. Continuance Rechargeable USB Batteries Posted: 31 Mar 2011 07:29 AM PDT A unique rechargeable battery concept called Continuance has been designed by Haimo Bao, Hailong Piao, Yuancheng Liu & Xiameng Hu. Which provides a new and innovative redesign of the traditional AA battery to now include a simple USB port. The battery can either be charged via a USB connection or the device can use use to charge mobile and other devices via USB. As the design is still only a concept at the moment its still a little tricky to estimate how much juice would be lost to accommodate the USB port within the battery. But may with today’s advances in rechargeable materials the lose due to the reduced space might be negligible. Asus Eee Pad Transformer To Cost £379 In The UK Posted: 31 Mar 2011 07:10 AM PDT The new Asus Eee Pad Transformer tablet got official recently, and now Acer just dropped us an email to let us know the UK pricing. The Eee Pad Transformer will go on sale in the UK on the 6th of April, and will cost £329 for the tablet on its own a £429 for the tablet and the keyboard dock. The Asus Eee pad Transformer features Android 3.0 Honeycomb, and it features a 10.1 inch IPS touchscreen display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels, processing is provided by a NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor and it also comes with 1GB of RAM. Microsoft Shares WP7 Stats Charting Progress In Its First Year Posted: 31 Mar 2011 04:40 AM PDT A year has now passed since the first release of Windows Phone 7, and Microsoft has now released figures measuring the progress of their new Windows Phone 7 platform over the past year. From the figures released by Microsoft it shows that their app store now contains over 11,500 apps of which 7,500 are paid apps for WP7. Microsoft also notes in their release that they have concentrated on quality rather than quantity, which would explain while they are a little way behind Apple’s 350,000 applications.

HSPA+ USB Modems Arrive At Three UK Posted: 31 Mar 2011 03:19 AM PDT A new line of HSPA+ USB modems have now arrived at Three the UK mobile phone provider and will start shipping n April 7th 2011. The new HSPA+ USB modems provide a 40 percent increase in connection speeds when compared to their existing HSDPA dongles. Three UK will start selling the dongles on a number of different packages including a 1GB ready to go packages for £69.99 or on a monthly tariff for £15.99 per month for 5GB with the modem costing £49.99 initial. Or if you prefer a longer contract with no payment for the modem a 5GB for £18.03 per month on a 24 month contract. Three UK are also offering an upgrade path for existing Three dongle owners for a one-off payment of £59.99. Microsoft Complains To European Commission About Google Posted: 31 Mar 2011 02:47 AM PDT Microsoft has announced that they have filed a complaint with the European Commission against Google over competition issues and Microsoft is claiming that Google has taken a pattern of actions to entrench its dominance for search and search advertising. Microsoft is basically saying that Google is using anti-competitive practices, and the announcement says the Google have been blocking Bing from indexing YouTube content, and also blocking Microsoft smartphones from accessing YouTube. Flickr Adds Easy Social Sharing Options Posted: 31 Mar 2011 02:14 AM PDT Flickr the image and video hosting website, has announced a new addition to its website in the form of a new social sharing feature, that now makes it easy to share your images with the larger social networks. The feature has been created by Flickr to reduce the amount of uploaded you need to do to share a photo. Allowing you to only upload your images once, but share them everywhere. The new options have been integrated as a key part of the photo page just next to the actions drop down. Previously Flickr would only allow you to share your photostreams, sets and groups to your friends and family via email. Google Bringing Super Fast Broadband To Kansas Posted: 31 Mar 2011 02:02 AM PDT Last year Google announced that they would be testing out a new super fast fiber optic broadband network in the US, when it was announced Google invited cities in the US to apply to the program, and it has now chosen the first city it will trial the hew broadband in, Kansas City. Google said that over 1,100 cities applied to trial the new broadband, and the trial will begin in Kansas City in 2012, and they will also be talking to other cities who are interested in the project. Boxee Box Receiving iPad Support In May (video) Posted: 31 Mar 2011 01:56 AM PDT Boxee has confirmed via a blog post that its iPad support will now be arriving in May when Boxee rolls-out a new firmware update. Boxee also explained that further updates to both to its Boxee Box and other Boxee-based devices will now arrive every three months from there after. Samsung 22 Inch Transparent LCD Display Goes Into Production Posted: 31 Mar 2011 01:34 AM PDT Samsung today announced their new transparent LCD displays, which were showcased at this years CES are now in mass production, the world’s first mass production line for transparent LCD panels. Yes, that is a room you can see behind the monitor pictured below. Samsung’s new transparent LCD displays will be available in two models, a black-and-white and a colour , will both have a contrast ratio of 500:1 with WSXGA+ (1680 x 1050) resolution. HP Releases webOS Beta 3.0 To Developers Posted: 30 Mar 2011 11:45 PM PDT HO has released a beta of webOS 3.0 to developers who are enrolled in their Early Access developers program, so if you are a developer who wants to download the SDK you will need to sign up to HP’s Early Access developers program. This amount was raised by one solitary company by selling tiny imaginary hats to people for their tiny imaginary character which they use to habitually murder other tiny imaginary characters.
