| Memes are like the crazy to the Internet glue, peanut butter to its jelly, Lady to its Gaga — and this year they’re taking the stage at the 16th Annual Webby Awards. We’ve partnered with fellow Internet fans Buzzfeed to help select four Nominees for Meme of the Year. In the running are the best of this year's memes: Texts from Hillary, Nyan Cat, Michelle Bachman Eyes, and Neil DeGrasse Tyson.
You can vote for your favorite meme now at BuzzFeed where the polls will remain open through The Webby Awards Show, where the winner will be announced during the live online broadcast.
Don't forget to RSVP to watch the 16th Annual Webby Awards hosted by Patton Oswalt on webbyawards.com on May 21st to see who brings home the coveted title of Webby Meme of the Year. The pre-show Red Carpet starts at 4:30pm ET and the show starts 5:30pm ET. Tune in to see appearances by Special Achievement Honorees Louis C.K., Bjork, and Juliette Lewis and Graydon Sheppard, and a video tribute to Steve Jobs, as well as performances by Passion Pit and The Key of Awesome.
