According to a semi-annual 2012 Mobile Marketing Analytics Report released by multimedia-based mobile marketing provider, Mogreet, the Apple (News - Alert) iPhone continues to lead the market in mobile video messaging use, increasing from 7.4 percent to 23.6 percent since August of 2011. However, the report also found that Samsung (News - Alert) devices are gaining ground in this area, increasing from 2.9 percent to 21.9 percent over the same time period.
This is hardly a surprise given that Samsung's phones in general make up a massive portion of the mobile market, while the iPhone (News - Alert) also continues to do well, selling by the millions worldwide.
The report also found that over two-thirds of all multimedia messages, delivered by businesses to consumers in the United States, are sent via the Mogreet platform. Mogreet believes that this saturation in the mobile market provides it with deeper insights into what messaging consumers view on their phones.
