Gigabyte Lays Claim to Overclocking World Records

Gigabyte has announced that it has laid claim to a couple overclocking records in the computer geek community using its GA-Z77X-UD3H and GIGABYTE Z77X-UD5H main boards. The UD3H board was used to set the CPU speed overclocking record.

Sony PS4 to stick with discs

There has been much speculation on Sony’s next gen Playstation console. With E3 just around the corner, everyone wants to know what Sony is planning. The latest info to leak via some loose lips is that, despite Sony's cloud-streaming plans, the PS4 will still have a good old fashioned optical disc drive.

Netflix 2.2 iOS App Update Brings New User Interface And Player Enhancements

Netflix has today rolled out a major update to its iOS applications taking the app to version 2.2. The update brings with it a totally new user interface for iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad devices.

Together with a number of enhancements which make using the application more enjoyable. Thumbnails have now been added to the navigation bar whilst you scrub through a file, as well as larger player controls, making it easier to control your viewing on smaller screens.

CD Projekt Unveils Their Next Project: Cyberpunk, Triple-A RPG

Creators of the fantastic Witcher series of games, CD Projeckt, has this week unveiled its plans to create a new triple-A RPG game called Cyberpunk. The announcement was made at the Summer Conference Event, where CD Projeckt revealed what their next big project would be. The new Cyberpunk RPG game set in the future, will be based on the iconic desktop pen and paper game of the same name.

Battlefield 3 Premium Service Details Leaked

Leaked Blueprints Show iPhone With Larger 4 Inch Display

Yesterday we saw some photos or parts which are reported to be for Apple’s new iPhone, the device is rumored to feature a larger 4 inch display than the existing model.

Lenovo LePhone K800 Intel Smartphone Launched In China

Some of our readers will remember the Intel powered Lenovo LePhone K800 that was announced back in January at CES, the handset has now launched in China.

The LePhone K800 comes with Android 2.3.7 Gingerbread an is powered by a 1.6GHz Intel Atom processor and features a 400MHz GPU, it also come with a 4.5 inch HD touchscreen display with a resolution of 1280 x 7230 pixels.

Facebook Adds Scheduled Posts And Administrator Role Features

Facebook has added a couple of new features to its service this week, that will make administering Facebook pages a whole lot easier for some users.

The new updates have added the ability to setup administrator roles within Facebook, allowing specific roles to be assigned to users. There are now five different roles to choose from with descending permissions : Manager, Content Creator, Moderator, Advertiser and Insight Analyst.

Sony Xperia Neo L To Launch Globally

Some of our readers will remember the Sony Xperia Neo L smartphone that was announced back in March, the handset launched in China, and now it looks like the handset will be launched in other countries around the world.

Virgin Media’s London Underground Wi-Fi Service Now Live?

Even though it’s not been officially announced by Virgin Media, it seems that Virgin Media’s London Underground Wi-Fi service is now live. After BBC journalist and presenter Rory Cellan-Jones, was able to send a tweet testing the service from an underground platform.

Virgin Media is hoping to roll out the service in time for the upcoming Olympic Games starting in a couple of months, and has been busy setting up the service. Installing underground Wi-Fi hotspots at around 80 of the London Undergrounds 270 stations.

Vodafone Smart II Android Smartphone Announced

UK mobile carrier Vodafone has announced a new Android smartphone, the Vodafone Smart II which is a pay as you go device that will be available for £70 without having to sign up to a monthly contract.

The Vodafone Smart II comes with Android 2.3 Gingerbread and it features a 3.2 inch HVGA touchscreen display, processing is provided by an 800MHz processor.

Acer Aspire One 756 Netbooks Announced

Asus MeMO 370T Tablet Passes Through The FCC

The Asus MeMO 370T was announced at CES in January, the tablet has yet to go on sale, and there has been speculation that the device or a variation on it could be Google’s Nexus Tablet.

Now according to the guys over at Android and Me, the Asus MeMO 370T has just passed through the FCC, which could mean the device is about to launch, when it was originally announced by Asus they said it would be available in quarter two of 2012.

UK Post Office To Offer NFC Payments From June

The UK Post Office has announced that it will be offering NFC payments at its 11,500 branches around the UK from the 6th of June, and people will be able to make NFC payments with their smartphones.

The service will be compatible with the MasterCard PayPass System and the Visa PayWave system, and the service will roll out initially to 200 post offices in London near the 2012 Olympic games venues.

Lovefilm Launches HD Streaming In The UK

Lovefilm just dropped us an email to let us know that they have launched a new HD streaming service in the UK, where you will be able to stream full HD streaming in 1080p on your PC or Mac and 720p streaming on the Xbox 360 and selected Samsung and LG connected TVs.

The service will also be available in Germany, although it will only be available in 1080p HD video on the PC and Mac initially, with other devices being added at a later date.

Apple To Demo New Apple TV OS AT WWDC

Diablo 3 Error 37 Resurfaces, Lag Killing Hardcore Mode Characters

Blizzard is still getting caught with its pants down as swarms of players keep overloading Diablo 3 servers attempting to login. But while that in itself isn’t unheard of, if regrettable, the real problems players are facing is having their Hardcore characters permakilled by server issues while playing in Hardcore Mode. All in all, not a great time to be a Diablo 3 player.

Crysis 2 Back On Steam, Rest Of EA Games Still Origin Only

In what looked at the time like an EA cash grab, Crysis 2, Dragon Age 2 and other EA games were withdrawn from Steam. The reason seems to have boiled down EA’s custom DLC stores baked into each game, which ran afoul of Steam’s terms of use, which only allows DLC to be sold through its service.
