Wikipad: Gaming tablet with 3D touchscreen display

Judging by the news, it seems that advanced games are coming to tablets, and after Razor's Fiona Project that runs PC games, today we have a similar prototype for all fans of portable gaming.


Wikipad doesn't sound like a gaming tablet, but despite its name, this tablet comes with touchscreen display and with special extension that gives you dual analog controllers, directional pad and four front buttons. In addition to the touchscreen and controller, this tablet also comes with 3D display so you'll be able to enjoy in 3D experience without any special 3D glasses. As for additional specs, Wikipad uses 8-inch screen and it runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, but we have to notice that Android 4.0 runs slow on this prototype model, but that will probably be fixed in the future.

So far, we don't know what type of games will Wikipad run, and as for the price and release date, no information has been disclosed so far.

TOSY mRobo: Portable speaker that transforms into a dancing robot

Each day we see more robots, and if you're fan of robots and portable speakers, you'll be interested in this hybrid robot.

Developed by TOSY, mRobo is one of a kind robot that comes with built-in speaker, and it can easily play music thanks to its internal memory, but what really makes this robot so special is that it transforms into a 18-inch robot when music starts playing. In addition to transformation, this robot also dances, and when you're done listening to your music, robot transforms again into its portable form. mRobo weighs 3.3 pounds and built-in speaker produces 40Hz bass, and as for the storage space, this hybrid robot comes with 2GB of internal memory. So far, mRobo is just a prototype, so it won't perform any spectacular dance moves yet, but we're looking forward to future improvements.

TOSY mRobo might not be advanced as other robots, but it's definitely entertaining, and in regards to release date and price, we should see this robot in fall of 2012 for $200.

Polaroid SC1630 Smart Camera: Smart digital camera that uses Android OS

Today we have many Android smartphones on the market, but thanks to Polaroid, we should see probably one of the first smart digital cameras.


Polaroid has announced a new SC1630 Smart Camera that should combine Android smartphone and a 16 Megapixel camera into a single device. Regarding the camera, SC1630 Smart Camera should use a 16 Megapixel CCD sensor, 3x optical zoom and 18 different scene modes. In addition, this smart camera uses 3.2-inch 800×480 touchscreen display, and as for the connectivity, there is Bluetooth, WiFi, quad-band GSM/EDGE and tri-band WCDMA 3G mobile network. We also have to mention that Polaroid SC1630 Smart Camera runs on Android so there are several Smart Features such as Smart Album that automatically organizes your photos by specific criteria such as date, time, location, and people. Additional features include geotagging, anti-shake, instant editing, ropping, red-eye removal, resizing and color correction. As for the storage, this camera has 512MB of RAM and it comes with 512MB of internal storage space.

Polaroid SC1630 Smart Camera is one of kind digital camera because it combines the power of digital camera with Android OS. As for the price and release date, we should see this camera available in April for $299.
