Ed Davalos, director of Product Management for Utility/Smart Grid solutions with AT&T Business Solutions, shared in this Pipeline report that the telecommunications giant is relying on wireless technology to help modernize the electric grid in the U.S. The company is focused on using machine-to-machine (M2M) technology to enable the implementation of the smarter utility.
This move also helps to streamline business processes, while providing companies and utilities with the ability to monitor energy assets in real-time.
