Facebook App For iPad Finally Arrives


Lost in all the commotion surrounding iOS 5 is that Facebook (News - Alert) has finally released their app for the iPad. Despite rumors that Facebook has been ready to release the app for several months, the company held back. The slowness with which Facebook moved on this was actually so frustrating to at least one developer that he left to work for Google (News - Alert) . While that developer was certainly frustrated, his anxiety was nothing compared to Facebook and iPad users who wanted an app that would integrate the two smoothly.


The Facebook app for the iPad is certainly not ground breaking, but it does offer a few features that iPad users have long been missing. The first big feature that is going to get iPad users excited is that there is a chat feature included in the app. While there were quite a few “Facebook compatible” apps that offered a great deal of what you could get in Facebook, very few brought the ability to chat with your Facebook friends inside the app...
