Smarter Utility - AT&T Launches a New Interactive Sustainability Reporting Method


AT&T (News - Alert), one of America’s leading communication holding companies, has launched a first-of-its kind sustainability reporting method. While releasing its 2011 sustainability report, which demonstrates its commitment to improving the world and empowering consumers, the company revealed its new interactive reporting format, which enables readers to explore a model city hosted on the Web. The model city has narratives that illustrate the different ways that consumers use AT&T products or services sustainably.


The company has justified its use of the model by stating that it was necessary in order to show consumers how sustainable living should look like. The company also used the report to market its corporate social responsibility initiatives, mainly by appealing to consumers to join in community service.


Among the most admirable features in the new report format is that viewers are at some point in the interactive journey in the model city prompted to answer questions related to the report.
