| GameStop Launches Pre-Orders for Google Nexus 7 Tablet with Trade-In Bonus Posted: 29 Jun 2012 06:42 AM PDT GameStop has announced that as of today it is accepting trades and taking pre-orders towards the Google Nexus 7 tablet with 16 GB of storage. The tablet was announced this week at the Google I/O developer conference and will launch in the middle of July. The tablet will sell for $249.

| RIM Delays BlackBerry 10 Until 2013, Lays Off 5,000 Staff Posted: 29 Jun 2012 04:45 AM PDT RIM’s new mobile OS was supposed to launch before the end of the year, and now RIM has announced that they are delaying the launch of BlackBerry 10 until 2013. RIM announced its latest financial results with a net financial loss of $192 million in the last quarter, they have decided to lay off 5,000 staff as well as delaying the launch of BlackBerry 10.

| Posted: 29 Jun 2012 02:15 AM PDT The Samsung Galaxy Note was first launched near the end of last year, unfortunately we didn’t manage to review the device when it was released, so I thought it was about time to try one out. The first thing you notice about the Samsung Galaxy Note is the size of the device compared to other handsets, the device is designed to be a combination device between a smartphone and a tablet, and it features a 5.3inch Super AMOLED display.

That Google Docs is now available to use offline. At Google I/O Clay Bevor, director of product management for Google Apps, demonstrated that Google Docs will now work for offline editing, by opening Google Doc via Google Drive on stage in front of Google I/O attendees.

| No Flash Support In Android 4.1 Jelly Bean Posted: 29 Jun 2012 12:34 AM PDT Adobe announced last year that they would be ending support for Flash on mobile devices, and now Adobe has announced that there will be no Flash for Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. Adobe has also said that it will stop offering new installations of Flash on mobile devices from the 15th of July, existing installations will get limited updates in the future.

| Samsung Galaxy Note 2 To Feature 5.5 Inch Super AMOLED Display, Slimmer Design Posted: 29 Jun 2012 12:05 AM PDT We have been hearing rumors about the new Samsung Galaxy Note 2 over the last few weeks, the devices existence was recently confirmed by one of Samsung’s Twitter accounts and now we have some more details about the device. According to the guys from GSM Arena, who have received some information about the device it will indeed come with a 5.5 inch Super AMOLED touchscreen display and will feature a slimmer design than the existing version, have a look at a mock up of the device below.

| National Weather Service To Send Severe Weather Warnings To Smartphones Posted: 28 Jun 2012 11:41 PM PDT The American National Weather Service has this week announced the launch of their new Wireless Emergency Alerts system, that has been created to send severe weather warning directly to users smartphones. The new weather warning system will include news about approaching tornadoes, hurricanes, blizzards, typhoons, tsunamis, flash floods, extreme winds, blizzards and ice and dust storms as well as other threats, and will send message of no more than 90 characters.

| Apple Posts $2.6 Million Bond To Have Galaxy Tab 10.1 Banned In The US Posted: 28 Jun 2012 11:37 PM PDT Earlier in the week we heard that Apple had won its case against Samsung in the US, and that Judge Lucy Koh had decided to ban the sale of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 in the US. In order to enforce the ban of the tablet, Apple was asked by the court to post a bond of $2.6 million US dollars, and now Apple has posted the bond, the bond is designed to protect Samsung should their appeal be successful.

We also heard that the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean ROM had been leaked, and now the guys from the XDA Developers have released the Android Jelly Bean wallpapers which have been pulled from the SDK.

| Total Recall Reboot Full Trailer Released (video) Posted: 28 Jun 2012 11:12 PM PDT If you have already seen the original Total Recall film which starred Arnold Schwarzenegger you will know the storyline for the latest 2012 Total Recall reboot starring Colin Farrell. But the latest trailer after the jump has added a little more CGI effects that the first and is shaping up to be a good remake if the trailer is anything to go by. The new film is directed by Len Wiseman, and features appearances by John Cho, Ethan Hawke and Bokeem Woodbine.

The Geanee ADB-01 is powered by a 1GHz Rockchip RK219 processor, and features 512MB of RAM and 2GB of built in storage, plus it features HDMI out and a number of other ports.

| Virgin Mobile Now Offering Pre-paid iPhone 4 And 4S Posted: 28 Jun 2012 10:25 PM PDT Earlier in the month Virgin Mobile announced that they would start offering a pre-paid version of the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S on their network in the US, and now they have started selling Apple’s iPhones. Virgin Mobile are offering the 8GB iPhone 4 for $549 without a contract and they are also offering the 16GB iPhone 4S for $649, the pricing is the same as Apple charges for the unclocked versions of both devices.

| Apple Working On Major New Version Of iTunes Posted: 28 Jun 2012 10:11 PM PDT According to a recent report by Bloomberg, Apple is working on a major new version of iTunes, which is designed to increase the amount of content available through the iTunes store and also make it easier for users to discover new content. The new iTunes will apparently make it easier for users to share song’s with their friends, and this service may let their friends listen to the song for free, Apple have apparently been in discussions with the record labels regarding this feature.

| Samsung Galaxy S III Lands In Sprint Stores July 1st Posted: 28 Jun 2012 10:01 PM PDT Samsung’s new flagship Android smartphone, the Galaxy S III has been met with overwhelming demand, which has led to shortages of the device and also delays at certain mobile carrier in the US. Sprint recently started sending the device out to customers who had pre-ordered it and now they have announced that it will be available in their retail stores from Sunday the 1st of July.

| Google To Release New Google+ App For iPad Posted: 28 Jun 2012 09:45 PM PDT Yesterday we heard that Google had released a new version of their Google+ app for their Android smartphones and tablets, and Google also announced that they are working on a new version of their Google+ app for Apple’s iOS. The new Google+ application for iOS is designed with the iPad in mind, and whilst Google did not reveal any information on when it would be available they did say that the app would be available ‘soon.

| Sony Action Camera Prototype Unveiled Posted: 28 Jun 2012 09:32 PM PDT Its seems that Sony is also looking to get a piece of the action camera market and has this week unveiled a handful of images introducing its new high definition wearable action camera for all to see. Sony has designed their new action camera for POV and action sports, it says in the blog post on the Sony website, which provides a first look at the new Sony camera.
