Featured Articles Twitter has redesigned its service making it faster, easier and more efficient to use Following speculation that Yahoo stakeholder Alibaba Group would partake in a buyout of the struggling Internet company, media reports say the financial group is seeking up to $4 billion in debt financing to help the Chinese e-commerce giant buy back a 40 percent stake in Yahoo. Although there are no public figures since the Hong Kong-based Alibaba Group is a private company, some analysts say Yahoo's stake is worth at least $9 billion, Reuters reported. In this new age of technology, one of the very real battles appears to be the one to dominate the living room. While cable television providers are still holding on, more and more companies are coming out with devices that will allow users to "cut the cord" and watch streaming television rather than live shows. Some cable companies have managed to fight off this onslaught by actually teaming up with certain companies to bring their broadcasts to computers. Other companies, like Apple, are ramping up the fight by expanding into more and more homes, with the end result to attempt to choke off cable companies all together. Google says Verizon Wireless has "asked" it not to include Google Wallet functionality on the new Android-powered Galaxy Nexus smart phone Verizon Wireless is introducing in December 2011. It does not immediately seem as though the decision is irrevocable, though. "We are continuing our commercial discussions with Google on this issue," Verizon Wireless Spokesman Jeffrey Nelson said.
