  1. Microsoft's new CEO Satya Nadella has started reshaping the company's senior executive ranks. EVP of business development and evangelism Tony Bates is out. Also leaving is EVP of marketing Tami Reller. Mark Penn, formerly an Executive Vice President, is Chief Strategy Officer. 
  2. Ellen DeGeneres posted the most retweeted Twitter message of all time at the Oscars last night, passing Barack Obama’s “Four more years” post in the first hour. The photo, a selfie of A-list celebrities, now has 2.5 million retweets and 1.2 million favorites.
  3. DeGeneres was on stage using a Samsung phone (a big advertisers for the Oscars), which she used to take the mega-popular selfie. But backstage she was all over her iPhone. 
  4. The founder of Lot18 has a new startup that claims to turn water into wine in three days. “The Miracle Machine” is an affordable tabletop appliance that works like a Soda Stream for wine and its Kickstarter page is launching soon.
  5. Tech site Mashable has raised $700,000 from Tribune Company. It’s a continuation of its $13.3 million round from January. 
  6. Mega tech conference South by Southwest begins in Austin, Texas this week. Here’s why a lot of attendees now bemoan the event, which has traditionally been a platform for launching big companies such as Twitter and Foursquare.
  7. Apple is launching CarPlay, an easy way to turn your iPhone and Siri into your car’s navigation system. Your iPhone becomes your car’s digital display and the apps, such as phone calls, maps and music, can be controlled with your car’s buttons. CarPlay will work with Honda, Mercedes and a bunch of other brands.
