Good morning! Let's start the work week:

  1. Facebook had a beautiful redesign planned, but the design didn't work on the old, crummy computers that its billion users own. It was best for the latest and greatest computers that Facebook's engineers use. So, it scrapped the design in favor of something simpler.
  2. If Facebook has to give up on design innovations to appease its giant installed base of users, then it really is becoming the new Yahoo. Sounds bad, but Mark Zuckerberg seems aware of it, and that's why he's made some big acquisitions.
  3. 60 Minutes did a story on Elon Musk last night. All of it is known to anyone that follows Musk closely. But, there was a good line where he said that he thought Tesla would fail but did it anyway because he thought it was too important to not do.
  4. Apple goes to court with Samsung in a patent suit again today in California. This time, Google will be sending a lot of its people to testify for Samsung.
  5. Meet Lucy Koh, the judge that will in charge of the case
  6. Guess which state has the highest percentage of cellphone-only households. Done guessing? The answer is Idaho.
  7. The future of Google is a service called Google Now, but Google Now has stagnated and needs a serious tune up.
  8. A French tech site used some of the rumors about the iPhone 6 to come up with its own renders of what it might look like.
  9. Trying to wrap your head around China's Internet giants? This interactive map from the WSJ explains who everyone is.
  10. Eat24, a food delivery site went public with its complaints about Facebook. It used to be in people's NewsFeed more often, but then Facebook changed its algorithms, and now it's not.
