Where Android's Growth Is Now Coming From

Android's growth is now coming from cheap, no-name smartphone makers, according Needham analyst Charlie Wolf

Samsung's share of the Android market has stalled around 40%, while the ultra-low-cost Android phones are taking share quickly. 

Wolf says, "Most of these companies, located in China, have entered the market with low-end, cheaply produced Android phones that are not much more expensive than feature phones. Indeed, most buyers of these phones use them as feature phones."
