Organizations are more willing to spend on applications that can demonstrably enhance their customer's experience versus just cool things or even internal productivity enhancement. But is it that easy? I believe that the challenging the 15-year history of Internet-based customer service shows this is an application area that requires very careful navigation to be successful.

However, when it comes to integrating WebRTC into broader communications systems, some extra work is needed, which is why companies like Huawei have been introducing WebRTC gateways in recent months.
Living up to its reputation as a leader in real-time communications API's, Voxeo Labs announced that the company has officially changed its name to Tropo Inc. The move comes just weeks after Tropo won the award for best Wow Factor at the recent WebRTC Expo in Atlanta.
