It seems as if there is nothing but buzz surrounding the impending release of the iPhone (News - Alert) 5. Apple is never going to be a company that lets a lot of official information leak, so we rely on component producers to keep us informed about what is going on in the iDevice world. 


The newest tidbits we have gotten recently all seem to be about who is making the screen for the new phone. Earlier this month a report circulated that Sharp had begun mass-producing screens and was getting ready to ship those to Apple (News - Alert). Now a new report says that LG has begun putting together ultra-thin displays that come complete with the in-cell technology that many think will be a big hit with Apple fans.


LG Display was more than willing to discuss details about its role in the production of the iPhone 5. CEO Han Sang-beom told a collection of journalists last Thursday that his company had begun putting these new displays into mass production. While some believe that the screen for the iPhone 5 is actually going to be bigger in length, the in-cell technology allows the main display and the screen’s touch sensors to be included on the same layer of display, making the screen thinner...
