Samsung Galaxy Gear smartwatch hardware specs leaked Posted: 02 Sep 2013 02:43 AM PDT We covered devices from Samsung in the past, and it seems that Samsung is planning to release a new smartwatch, and today we have some leaked information regarding this new device. According to the leaked information, Galaxy Gear smartwatch will have 1.5GHz dualcore processor and 1GB of RAM. Additional hardware specs include accelerometer, a 2.5 inch OLED touchscreen that uses 320×320 resolution and a 4 megapixel camera that can record 720p video. Regarding the storage, there will be two models available, one with 8GB and the other with 6GB of internal storage space. As for the battery, built-in battery will last up to 10 hours on a single charge. There's also Bluetooth 4.0 as well as speakers that are built-in in the strap, and regarding the software, Galaxy Gear smartwatch should run on Android Jelly Bean. Galaxy Gear smartwatch sounds interesting, but so far, no official information about this smartwatch is available. On the bright side, Samsung plans to unveil Galaxy Gear smartwatch on September 4th.
