China plans to launch a second 'moon' into the sky in hopes that it'll save money on street lights

Scientists and engineers in China are planning to launch a "fake moon" above the city of Chengdu, with the hopes that it'll reduce the area's energy expenses. The illumination satellite is supposed to be eight times as bright as earth's real moon. The launch is scheduled for some time in 2020.
