| April 03, 2012 EnviroTrack Stands Firmly in Environmental Monitoring Space For almost two decades, IP Convergence (News - Alert) has been doing what it knows best – showing customers how to leverage their networks to the full capacity. But, almost three years ago, customers came to IP Convergence asking for help with another task – showing data center managers how to start monitoring environmental issues that affect systems such as VoIP, telephone and security. Accordingly, Steve Baker, president of IP Convergence, unveiled EnviroTrack, an offering designed to simplify asset monitoring. While Baker concluded that the market offered basic environmental monitoring solutions, there was a dearth of centralized management solutions capable of everything from report correlation to data gathering. From there, Baker wrote the server, the EnviroTrack product, and the product currently has multiple modules inside of it including ITWatchDogs’ environmental monitoring units. “We have an appliance that we hardcode and send out to the customer; it has the GUI interface and the centralized management interface and then you can start adding ITWatchDogs’ components and our software will discover them based off the IP addresses,” Baker told TMCnet...
