ONLINE VIDEO IS EXPLODING!

Ooyala, a leading provider of online video and IPTV solutions, uses Big Data and analytics to deliver key business intelligence about viewer behavior. We recently published our quarterly Video Index Report, which is full of insights that help companies better engage viewers and make more money with online video.

Key findings include:

Non-desktop plays doubled in the fourth quarter of 2011. Video on tablets, mobile devices and connected TVs will continue to grow massively throughout 2012 and beyond.
Big screens are for big content. Videos longer than 10 minutes accounted for more than half the hours played on connected TV devices & gaming consoles (CTV & GC).
Facebook continues to beat Twitter in video sharing. For every video shared via Twitter in Q4, more than 10 were shared on Facebook, according to Ooyala data.
