By now, we have all heard about both the promise and the perceived risk involved in moving data into the cloud. But hesitation on the part of CIOs is still prevalent among IT decision makers in enterprises – without many concrete answers to those looming security and availability questions.
However, cloud evangelists will tell you that moving data to the cloud can reduce IT expense, improve productivity and serve as a competitive equalizer.
“Moving data to the cloud can be a cost-effective path to better application platforms, higher data accessibility and faster data processing,” according to Terry Flood, president and CEO of Logicalis (News - Alert).
