The user would pay the normal upgrade price and then agree to a new contract and walk out with their new phone. This is how a lot of iPhone users upgraded to newer models.

The Lensbaby Composer Pro is available with a double glass version and also a sweet 35 Optic version, and they retail for between $300 to $400.

| Black Ops Escalation DLC Leaked By Game Australia Posted: 05 Apr 2011 08:36 AM PDT Details of the new Black Ops Escalation DLC has mistakenly been leaked by Game in Australia who inadvertently published a new flyer for the content that is due to be released on May 3rd. The new Black Ops Escalation content will first be arriving on the Xbox, due to the three year exclusivity deal between Activision and Microsoft. Arriving on PC and PS3 shortly afterwards. The new Black Ops Escalation content will include 5 new maps, including one zombie shooter style, and can been seen on the flyer that was quickly removed from the Game website, but not before a screenshot was able to be captured.

| Silverlight Arriving On Xbox 360 Consoles? Posted: 05 Apr 2011 08:15 AM PDT Microsoft maybe looking to bring Silverlight to its Xbox 360 gaming console very shortly according to the Win Rumors website. Microsoft is likely to reveal its plans in more detail at the up and coming MIX 11 conference next week in Las Vegas. Microsoft has already hinted that it might be bring Silverlight to the Xbox in its next wave of development. Sources close to Microsoft also divulged to Win Rumors that Microsoft is planning to create a Marketplace for developers to create applications and games for the Xbox environment, which will tie into Windows 8.

It’s for those rare occasions when you’re laboring over the Bible in its original Greek and can't understand a thing. Oh wait, the Quicktionary doesn’t do Greek except when it’s English to Greek. Never mind, it covers most European languages anyway. Maybe not Basque/Euskara, but at least the very popular ones. Hebrew too.

| Predator Visual Object Tracking Algorithm Automatically Learns And Improves (video) Posted: 05 Apr 2011 06:38 AM PDT Researcher and Phd student Zdenek Kalal has developed a new visual object tracking algorithm called Predator that is capable of learning and improving its accuracy as it tracks a target. The project has already won the "Technology Everywhere" award and can track almost anything a camera sees once it is selected. The possibilities for such an accurate tracking system are endless and you can see a glimpse of what is possible in the series of 12 videos Zdenek Kalal has compiled whilst working on the project at the University of Surrey. | Day And Night Viewing D-Link Wireless N Network Camera DCS-932L Posted: 05 Apr 2011 05:42 AM PDT Today D-Link have unveiled their new Wireless N network camera the DCS-932L which allows for both day and night time surveillance using its integrated IR LED’s. Allowing for footage to be viewed and recorded when there is little or very low light, up to 16 feet away from the camera, with a VGA resolution of 640×480. D-Link have designed the new camera to be very easy to setup and requires that you run a short installation wizard for setup to be complete. You are then able to see what ever the camera is viewing by logging onto mydlink.com. With no need to configure your router to open ports or remember web addresses. | Google To Face FTC Antitrust Investigation? Posted: 05 Apr 2011 05:27 AM PDT Recently we heard that Google and the FTC came to an agreement over the privacy concerns that people had with the launch of Google Buzz, Google has agreed with the FTC that they will implement a comprehensive privacy program, and they have also agreed to regular privacy audits for the next 20 years. Now it seems that Google may be subject an an Antitrust investigation by the FTC, according to a recent report by Bloomberg, and according to the report the FTC is waiting for the Justice Department on whether they will challenge Google’s acquisition of ITA software, and the news comes just 24 hours after Larry Page takes over as Google CEO.

| Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo Hits The UK April The 19th Posted: 05 Apr 2011 04:20 AM PDT Sony Ericsson announced the new Xperia Neo Android smartphone back in February, and now it looks like it will be available in the UK from April the 19th from Clove, the Xperia Neo will retail for £299 + taxes and shipping. As a reminder, the Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo will come with Android 2.3 Gingerbread and it features a 3.7 inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 854 x 480 pixels, there is also a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and 8GB of storage.

| Posted: 05 Apr 2011 04:05 AM PDT If you own two GoPRo Hero cameras you might be please to know that GoPro have now started shipping their new 3D Hero Expansion kit which was showcased at CES earlier this year. The new 3D kit allows you to combine two GoPro cameras together to create a single 1080p 3D camera. A link cable is supplied to sync the two cameras together and is plugged into the back of each camera, allowing them to function as one camera. A single shutter button then controls both cameras.

| Nikon ME-1 DSLR Microphone For Nikon D5100 Announced Posted: 05 Apr 2011 03:44 AM PDT Earlier today we showed you the latest DSLR camera from, Nikon, the Nikon D5100 and now Nikon has also announced a new accessory for the D5100 the ME-1 DSLR microphone. According to Nikon, the ME-1 DSLR microphone is designed to filter out autofocus noise and wind noise, and it is powered by the D5100 and attaches to the hot shoe on top of the camera.

| Indie Band Creates Album Using iPad 2 And GarageBand Posted: 05 Apr 2011 02:47 AM PDT An Indie Band called The Ultramods is probably one of the first bands who have created a whole album using the iPad 2 and Apple’s GarageBand app, and they have just released their new album called ‘Underwear Party’ It took The Ultramods just two weeks to record their album using the iPad 2 and Garage Band, and everything was composed and recorded in Apple’s GarageBand.

| New Alienware M14x Specifications Leaked Posted: 05 Apr 2011 02:44 AM PDT Officially Dell has not released any specifications about upgrade to their new upgraded mid range Alienware M14x laptop, but a few specifications for their latest 14 inch gaming laptop have sneaked through the cracks and leaked already. The new system, as thought, will be powered by a Intel Core i7-2820QM 2.3 GHz processor together with a 750GB, 7200RPM HDD or a 256GB SATA2, SATA3 SDD option. Gaming graphics power will be provided via a NVIDIA GT555M GPU and its onboard mobile connectivity via a LTE or WiMAX connection.

| Linksys Unveils New E-Series Wireless Routers And Switches Posted: 05 Apr 2011 01:55 AM PDT Cisco has unveiled their new range of E-Series router and switches today. Their flagship Linksys E4200 (pictured below) is equipped with a massive 6 antennas with both 2.4GHz and 5.0GHz radios that can both be used simultaneously to provide 300 + 450 Mbps connection speeds. Together with four gigabit ethernet ports, 3 × 3 MIMO support and virtual USB technology to connect USB printers, storage and devices to the network. The other two routers that support Simultaneous Dual-Band 2.4 GHz + 5 GHz and 300 + 300 Mbps connection speeds are the Linksys E3200 and E2500. While Cisco’s lower end routers support just 2.4 GHz connections, with speeds up to 300mbps.

| Posted: 05 Apr 2011 01:50 AM PDT Nikon has added a new entry level DSLR to their line up with the launch of the Nikon D5100, which features a 16.2 megapixel CMOS sensor , plus a vari-angle monitor and an EXPEED 2 imagine processing engine. The Nikon D5100 DSLR features the same 23.3 x 15.6 CMOS sensor that is found in the Nikon D7000, and it features an ISO range of 10-6400, which is expandable to 25,600, there is also a night vision mode, that can shoot photos in an ISO range up to 102,400.

| Microsoft Releases New XDK Xbox 360 Development Kit Posted: 05 Apr 2011 01:30 AM PDT Microsoft has announced its releasing a new XDK console to developers which has been designed to increase the efficiency of any size development team, while creating Xbox 360 games, together with reducing their costs. To aid development teams, Microsoft explains that they will be they will be offering the new XDK at a significantly reduced price from its predecessor. Once purchased developers have the option to license a separate Sidecar attachment that offers debugging and disc emulation capabilities. The Sidecar add-on can be shared across multiple XDK consoles, removing the need for the development team to license multiple development consoles.

| 87 Percent Of Android Developers Think Fragmentation Is A Problem Posted: 05 Apr 2011 01:17 AM PDT We have been hearing quite a bit about Android fragmentation recently, Google obviously thinks it is a problem as they are making changes in an attempt to stop Android Fragmentation. It seems that Google are not the only ones who think Android fragmentation is a problem for their mobile OS, according to a recent survey conducted by Baird Research, who surveyed a total of 250 application developers, 87 percent of them thought that Android fragmentation was a problem for the platform.

| Google Releases Google Maps 5.3 For Android Posted: 05 Apr 2011 12:58 AM PDT Google has launched a new version of Google Maps for Android, the latest version is Google Maps 5.3 and it comes with a range of new features, and this latest version is compatible with smartphones running Android 1.6 and above. Google Maps 5.3 for Android comes with new location history and check in features, and users of the app will now be able to see their Google Location History dashboard, which includes a range of dirrent stats.

| AviiQ iPad 2 Smart Case Works With Apple’s Smart Cover Posted: 05 Apr 2011 12:37 AM PDT Apple’s new Smart Cover for the iPad 2 is designed to protect the iPad 2′s display, unfortunately it doesn’t protect the back of the iPad 2, we have already seen a couple of cases that are designed to work with the iPad 2 Smart Cover, the XGear iPad 2 Smart Cover Enhancer case and the Enki iPad 2 Genius case. AviiQ has just released a new iPad 2 case that works with the Smart Cover, the AviiQ Smart Case, and it comes in a range of different colors that are designed to match the colors of the iPad 2 Smart Cover.

| Google Offers $900 Million For Nortel Patents Posted: 04 Apr 2011 11:44 PM PDT Last year we heard that a number of companies were interested in acquiring Nortel’s patents, among the companies we heard about that were interested in the patents were Google and Apple. Now Google has officially announced that they are offering $900 million for the Nortel patents, and Google have said that them purchasing the patents is a defensive move.
