Antec Unveils New LED BIAS Lighting

Posted: 28 Apr 2011 11:12 AM PDT

You may not know what a bias light is. It’s a light that you put behind your monitor so you aren’t staring at a bright screen in totally dark room. Apparently, some high-end animation studios use them and they are supposed to help reduce eye fatigue too. I have seen bias lights before that are really expensive.

I had never set foot inside a Football Stadium before the other night's closed doors Heineken Star Player launch event. Not to watch a game, nor even to visit one of the things as I would a museum. They're simply structures that exist, but don't perform a function that I feel involves me, like coal mines and water treatment facilities, only less useful.

Dragon Age 2 Getting DLC, The Wrong Kind

Posted: 27 Apr 2011 07:34 PM PDT

We know we’ve previously maintained the importance of Dragon Age 2 for the industry and for the genre and we still stand by that assessment. That doesn’t, however,  take the sting out of the wonky difficulty curve and worst of all, criminally repetitive racing game style level design. Some of that sting, could of course, be alleviated via DLC. And it probably will be at one point, we hope. Just not in this batch.
