5. Some Eurosceptics hope that Ireland will leave the EU after a contentious EU ruling on Apple's tax affairs in the country. The EU has ordered Ireland to claw back $14.5 billion in back taxes from Apple.

6. Google is strapping cameras to sheep for a new mapping project. The sheep cameras will be used to map the Faroe Islands, an archipelago under Danish control in the North Atlantic Ocean.

The $1-per-ride fee, originally introduced in April 2014, was a way for Uber to recoup the costs of running its background checks and providing 24/7 support to its riders.

10. IBM's Watson sorted through over 100 film clips to create an algorithmically perfect movie trailer. Watson is IBM's best-known AI system.
