Vehicle Tracking Helps Small Fleets Save Money, Reduce Environmental Impact


The expanding use of vehicle tracking systems are giving more companies a chance to save money and become environmentally sustainable by providing enlightening information about their fleet operations. The relatively inexpensive technology, long used by large fleet operations like Fedex and UPS, particularly holds promise to make an impact in small to medium sized fleets.


Such was the case with STE Waste of Manchester, United Kingdom, which recently fitted its fleet of seven vehicles with tracking systems from Navman Wireless. In the first week of operation with the devices, the company reported each vehicle traveled an average of 20 miles less. Read More
