| Latest Featured Articles Last week, the technology world saw something pretty amazing: a demonstration of a native video chat between an Android Nexus tablet and a Macbook Air, with no need for the participants to download any application or extra tool. It was made possible thanks to a technology known as WebRTC, a standard that is a free, open project that allows high-quality, real-time communication applications to be developed in the browser via simple Java APIs and HTML5. For all the talk about WebRTC, many businesses are still just sitting back and thinking, "Boy, this will be neat to see." In doing so, however, they are missing out on many opportunities, and should start preparing for WebRTC sooner rather than later. There's no denying it; the concept of Web-based real time communications (WebRTC) is a concept that's shaking the fundamentals of communication to their very core. When you listen to Tim Cook at Apple the next time we're set for the Dog and Pony, you'll hear him speak to the fact that virtually all iPhones are up to date on iOS6.
