Torchlight 2 for Mac is still a few months away

Last week Runic Games officially released Torchlight 2 for Windows. But sadly Mac OS gamers will have to wait at least a little while longer. Runic Games' CEO, Max Schaefer has revealed that the Mac OS version of Torchlight 2 is on the way, but it is still a couple of months away from being completed.

Rovios Bad Piggies Hits The Top Spot In US App Store In Just Three Hours

It looks like Rovio Mobile’s latest game, Bad Piggies is already a hit, as the game is now top of the charts in the US app store, and it took Bad Piggies just three hours to hit the top of the charts.

We also just checked the UK app store, and Rovio’s Bad Piggies is also in the number one spot, we wonder if it has hit top of the charts in more countries around the world.

iOS 6 Users Reporting Problems With WiFi On iPhone And iPad

Apple launched iOS 6 last week, and now it would appear that a number of iOS device owners are having problems with WiFi since they have upgraded to iOS 6.

The problems seem to be affecting the iPhone 4S and the iPad 3, and a number of users are having problems with their WiFi being disabled and the option to connect to WiFi ‘grayed out’, it also looks like Bluetooth connectivity is having similar problems for a number of users.

Google To Launch $99 Nexus Tablet Later This Year (Rumor)

Google’s current Nexus 7 tablet retails for $199 and $249, but if a recent report from Digitimes is correct, Google intends to launch an even cheaper android tablet before the end of the year.

According to the report Google and Asus are working on a new Nexus 7 tablet and there will apparently be two models available, one which retails for $199 and one which retails for $99.

Android YouTube App Update Brings Pre-loading To Froyo And Gingerbread And More

Samsung ATIV Tab Windows RT Tablets Up For Pre-order In The UK, Launches Next Month

Some of our readers will remember the Samsung ATIV Tab Windows RT tablet that was announced at the end of August, this new Windows RT tablet is now available to pre-order and will go on sale in the UK at the end of October.

UK retailer Clove are now taking pre-orders on the Samsung ATIV Tab, and this new Windows RT tablet will retail for £549 including taxes when it hits the UK next month.

Sony Xperia T Now Available From Three UK

UK mobile carrier Three is now offering the new Sony Xperia T on their network in the UK, the handset is available fro £29 up front on a range of monthly contracts with prices starting at £34 per month.

There are also offering the Xperia T on their pre-paid paid as you go contracts, this option will set you back £399 for the handset, although you are not signed up to a lengthy contract.

Rovio Mobile just released their sequel to Angry Birds, called bad Piggies you play as one of the green pigs instead of the Angry Birds, and the game play is quite a bit different than Angry Birds.

In Bad Piggies the idea of the game is to build transport for the green pigs out of various parts, and you then have to move the pigs around using your newly created vehicle.

Google Takeout Now Supports Re-Downloading Of Original YouTube Videos

Google on their 14th Birthday has rolled out a new feature to their Google Takeout service, which now allows YouTube users to re-download their original videos in the format they originally up-loaded them to YouTube in.

Nokia Lumia 920 And 820 Prices And Launch Date Announced For Europe

Nokia has today announced European SIM-free pricing for its new Nokia Lumia 920 and 820 smartphones, which will be arriving in Italy and Germany in November.

Both the Nokia Lumia 920 and 820 will be arriving on the Vodafone cellular network in Germany and in Italy on TIM, 3 Italy, Vodafone and Wind, with the Lumia 920 Windows Phone 8 flagship being priced at €649 or $836 approximately, while the Nokia Lumia 820 will be priced at €499 or $643.

Apple Files A Patent For Siri

Apple’s voice activated virtual assistant Siri, is now on a number of Apple devices, which include the iPhone 4S, iPhone 5 and the new iPad, and now Apple has filed a patent with the USPTO for an ‘intelligent Automated Assistant’, that would be Siri then.

You can see a small extract from the patent filing below, and the patent was originally filed back on the 9th of June of this year, although it has only been revealed today.

Qualcomm Annouces Snapdragon S4 Play Processors

LG Display Files Patent Lawsuit Against Samsung

It looks like Apple is not the only company suing Samsung, as now LG Display has filed a patent lawsuit against Samsung relating to the OLED technology used in some of Samsung’s Galaxy devices.

Samsung devices which have been listed in the lawsuit include the new Galaxy S III smartphone, the Galaxy Note and Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 7.7 tablet.

Rovio’s Bad Piggies Lands On Android, iOS And The Mac App Store

Facebook Partners With DropBox For Easier File Sharing

Nokia Lumia 920 And Lumia 820 Go Up For Pre-order In Russia

It looks like Nokia’s new Windows Phone 8 smartphones have gone up for pre-order in Russia, both the Nokia Lumia 920 and the Nokia Lumia 820 are now available to pre-order from Nokia’s website.

The Nokia Lumia 920 is priced at 24,990 rubles which works out at around $401 at today’s exchange rate, and the Nokia Lumia 820 is priced at 19,900 rubles, which works out at around $640.

Huawei Ascend P1 LTE Headed To EE In The UK

Huawei has announced that their new LTE smartphone, the Huawei Ascend P1 LTE is headed to the UK’s first 4G LTE capable network EE, the device will be available exclusively through EE in the UK at launch.

Huawei has also said that the Ascend P1 LTE will be available in other markets as well, although they did not give a launch date for the UK and also did not reveal any pricing.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 Extended Zombie Trailer And Modes Revealed (video)

Following on from the shorter Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 Zombie trailer released by Treyarch last week. The company has this week released a longer 2 minute version of the trailer that reveals a little more of what you can expect from the game and the Zombie horde.

As well as releasing the new Zombie trailer Treyarch has also unveiled lots of details about the Zombie modes within Black Ops 2. That will include multiple modes, called Tranzit, Survival and Grief which caters for up to 8 players.

New Zealand PM Apologies To Kim Dotcom For Spying On Him

New Zealand’s Prime Minister has issued a public apology to Megaupload founder Kim Dotcom, after it was discovered that a New Zealand security agency spied on Kim Dotcom illegally.

The security agency is not allowed to spy on New Zealand citizens, and Kim Dotcom was a New Zealand citizen when the spying took place, it happened before the raid on Dotcom’s New Zealand residence as part of an FBI investigation into Megaupload.

On Monday we saw some leaked specifications on LG’s new Optimus Vu 2 smartphone, and now the device is official and we have details on the handsets full specifications.

The LG Optimus Vu 2 comes with a 5 inch touchscreen display with a 4:3 aspect ratio and a resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels, processing is provided by a 1.5GHz Qualcomm S4 MSM8960 processor.

Oculus Rift Virtual Reality Headset Developer Kits Now Available To Pre-Order (video)

After a successful Kickstarter campaign which raised $2,437,429 after only requiring a funding of just $250,00 the new awesome Oculus Rift virtual reality headset is now available to pre-order, with shipping starting in January.

The new Oculus Rift developer kits are now available to pre-order from the Oculus website for $300 or for $345 with international shipping included.

Jaguar F-Type Announced At Paris Auto Show

Jaguar has announced their latest sports car at this years Paris Auto Show, the Jaguar F-Type, which is the first tw0-seater sports car that Jaguar has announced since the E-Type 50 years ago.

The Jaguar F-Type features a 3.0 litre V6 supercharged engine with 340 horsepower and 339 pound-feet of torque, plus an F-Type S features 380 horsepower, and there will also be a F-Type V8 S model that comes with 495 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque from a supercharged 5.0-liter V-8, have a look at the photos below.

Samsung Galaxy Camera Up For Pre-Order In The UK

Samsung recently announced their first Android powered camera, the Samsung Galaxy Camera, which comes with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, and now the device is available to pre-order in the UK.

UK retailer Clove has just put the Samsung Galaxy Camera up for pre-order, and the device will retail for £399 including taxes, although an exact launch date has not been given.

Android Remote Data Wipe Flaw May Affect Other Android Devices

We have been hearing quite a bit about a remote data wipe flaw that was discovered to affect Samsung Galaxy S III smartphones, Samsung quickly patched the flaw, but now it would appear that other Android devices could be susceptible to the flaw.

According Dylan Reeve, the remote data wipe security flaw can also affect other Android devices from other manufacturers and he has managed to replicate the same issue on other handsets.

Intel Denies CEO Said Windows 8 Is Being Released Before It Is Ready

Yesterday there was a rumor that Intel CEO Paul Otellini had told employees that Microsoft are releasing Windows 8 before their new OS was finished, and now Intel has denied the claims that their CEO had said that Windows 8 was not ready for release.

Samsung Galaxy S III Headed To MetroPCS Next Month

It looks like Samsung’s flagship Android smartphone is headed to another carrier, MetroPCS, as the device is now listed on their website with a launch date of October.

MetroPCS have not listed any pricing on their website for the Samsung Galaxy S III and have also not given an exact date in October on when the handset will be available on their network.

iPhone 5′s A6 Processor Clocked At Close To 1.3GHz According To GeekBench

Apple’s new iPhone 5 comes with a new Apple designed A6 processor, the processor is dual core and was previously thought to have a clock speed of around 1GHz, although some new Geekbench tests have revealed it may have a higher clock speed closer to 1.3GHz.

Geekbench have just released a new version of their App for iOS, and according to Geekbench the latest version of the app “features a dramatically improved processor frequency detection algorithm, which consistently reports the A6′s frequency as 1.3GHz.”.

Why Apple Switched From Google Maps To iOS 6 Maps

We heard yesterday that Apple still had around a year left on their maps contract with Google, and there has been a lot of speculation on why Apple changed from Google Maps to their own Maps app so quickly.

According to Daring Fireball’s John Gruber, Apple’s contract with Google would have run out around June of next year, meaning they would have had to release their Maps App without a major release of iOS, the next major version , iOS 7, will probably land around September or October of next year.
