This week folks are again focused on a failing CEO, and this one that has a severance package which falls between $160M and $60M, regardless of how you do the math. First, this reminds me that clearly I haven't done a great job of negotiating my own severance package. Second, this is a reminder that the reason Mayer failed was the Yahoo board. It really wasn't her fault.
In a world where technology plays a role in nearly everything we do, it's tough to take a step back and recognize whether or not this is a healthy approach. The question especially needs to be addressed in the business environment to gain a better understanding of where technology investments are helping and where they might be hurting.

Low-cost notebooks have enjoyed a popular partnership with schools for some time. It should surprise no one that Google's Chromebooks are included in these partnerships. Both students and staff have integrated the low-cost systems into their daily activities for years. The organization filed the complaint with the United States Federal Trade Commission (FTC) last week.
My top prediction for 2016 is that adoption of passive behavioral biometrics for user authentication will increase. Why? Two reasons. We continue to see the weakening of PII-based risk prevention techniques as data breaches flood the market with readily packaged private information, like having the test answers ahead of the exam. More users move to mobile platforms every day, demanding a fast, frictionless transaction experience. The only way to protect customer data and accounts and offer a painless user experience is with passive behavioral biometrics.
Why Business Process Management (BPM) and Adaptive Case Management (ACM) should be considered the same.

Undisclosed sources told The Wall Street Journal that YouTube will be expanding its content base, which will put it in direct competition with Hulu, Amazon, Netflix, and other content licensers and producers.
NASA Kennedy Space Center, Florida: the last manned flight from this location occurred in 2011. Today, diverse projects and new hardware by commercial companies and NASA are paving the way for the next era of manned spaceflight from U.S. soil. Something old, something new is a big theme around Kennedy, as facilities built during the space race and Shuttle area are revamped and repurposed to support new spaceflight activities.
