ClearSky Launches Global Storage Network as Alternative to Typical Cloud Service - TMCnet's Cloud Communications eNews

ClearSky Data announced recently that it had launched a global storage network designed to simplify storage infrastructure and free IT departments from the usual hassles of backups and disaster recovery. Although the cloud was designed to address these issues, ClearSky argues that cloud technology alone falls short of giving businesses the performance they need.
The cloud is riding its second wave of adoption, and organizations are beginning to understand its true scope and promise. At least according to a new study sponsored by Cisco, which shows new adoption is being fueled by companies using the cloud as a platform for innovation and growth as well as cost savings and efficiencies.
As cloud technology continues to become more ubiquitous, cloud management platform providers are growing more and more prevalent as a means to help organizations seize the benefits of cloud. But what exactly are cloud management platform providers, and how can they help organizations consume cloud resources more economically and efficiently?
