Meg WhitmanGood morning! We're looking at a sunny day with a high in the upper 80s for New York. News time:

1. HP's forthcoming smartwatch will support apps, but it won't have a touch screen. You'll have to use buttons on the side to navigate. Also, it won't run on Android. (It doesn't sound like it's going to be a hit product.)

2. OnSwipe, a NYC company that converts sites to a mobile/tablet friendly platform is likely to sell by the end of this week.

3. iOS mobile usage falls behind Android usage for the first time ever.

4. Apple, which has ignored social media, hired a social media guru for its retail stores. Musa Tariq comes from Burberry where he worked with Angela Ahrendts.

5. Xiaomi is now the biggest smartphone seller in China, beating Samsung and Apple.

6. Mobile payments company Square acquired Caviar, a food delivery company.  The price is speculated to be $90 million, all stock.

7. Here's a big story from Re/code looking at the "instant gratification" economy that's sprung up in Silicon Valley.

8. Here's how a new feature from Apple will totally change the iPhone this fall. It's called "extensibility" and it allows apps to control stuff they never controlled in the past.

9. Google hosted a conference at a resort with three golf courses for elite influencers and executives in Sicily this week.

10. And, finally, this was the only story people really cared about yesterday: A hotel in New York was fining brides $500 if their guests left negative reviews. After the story went viral, the hotel furiously backtracked and ended the policy.
