Football, and all sports for that matter, generates masses of fans, media attention and uproar in the US. Each year as the final game is approaching, sports lovers around the country are preparing to attend the game, throw a party or celebrate at their favorite local bar.
This year, however, Super Bowl event planners and corporate officials are not only worrying about their favorite teams victories, but also the preservation of greenhouse gas emissions that will be emitted from the football-related activities.
The "Geaux Green" program was launched by the Super Bowl XLVII Host Committee, Entergy Corporation, and the Center for Climate and Energy Solutions (C2ES) to limit the environmental impact of the Super Bowl.
