Verizon is giving its FiOS TV customers the opportunity to become Bollywood dilettantes with an a-la-carte film option that lets viewers rent video-on-demand (VOD) titles outside of subscribing to an Indian TV add-on package. Motama is cutting the cost of its digital DVB gateways for IPTV and over-the-top (OTT) content delivery by a third with an updated portfolio of its rack-mountable, 19-inch head-end servers, dubbed TVCaster. Time Warner Cable's advertising arm is joining up with AT&T AdWorks to integrate AT&T U-verse IPTV customers in an additional 15 markets into its Interconnects Plus (I+) platform. The end result will be the integration of DirecTV, AT&T U-verse and Verizon FiOS TV households together into one scheduling grid so that brands can make a consolidated media buy for local ads across all of them.
