Some pencils get chewed, others broken, still others made to scrawl pointless doodles on any available surface. Faber Castell, on the other hand, belongs to a league of it’s own. | HTC Desire S Lands On Orange UK Posted: 08 Apr 2011 06:25 AM PDT UK mobility phone operator Orange has announced that the HTC Desire S is now available on their network here in the UK, and it is available from free for people who sign up to a new £35 a month contract. The HTC Desire S features a 3.7 inch WVGA touchscreen display with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels, and it comes with Android 2.2 Gingerbread, processing is provided by a 1GHz Qualcomm processor.

The Stealth LPC-670 features a rugged aluminum chassis, and measures just 6.5 inches by 6 inches by 2 inches, it can be configured with up to 750GB of storage and up to 8GB of DDR3 RAM.

| Skype Launches 5.3 For Windows And New Linux Update Posted: 08 Apr 2011 05:21 AM PDT After fifteen months of waiting Linux has finally received an update to its Skype client. The new update in the form of Skype 2.2 for Linux is still classed as a beta version but claims to bring with it 49 bug fixes and 23 ‘improvements’. The main update to the Linux release are improvements to sound and audio together with call waiting and holding, as well as easy conference hosting, and probably the biggest improvement is the addition of support for Skype Access. Which now allows you to get online, with pay as you go internet access using your Skype Credit via WiFi at over 200,000 hotspots worldwide.

In Left 2 Die you need to defend your base from onrushing zerg infested. Protect yourself from the relentless hordes during the night, and build up your forces to strike back during the daytime. | Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo UK Delayed Until July Posted: 08 Apr 2011 04:33 AM PDT The other day we told you that the Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo would be available in the UK on April the 19th, it has now been delayed due to the recent disaster in Japan and won’t be available in the UK until July. According to the guys over at Clove, July is the earliest date that Sony Ericsson has committed to for delivery of the Neo, and it looks like other Xperia handsets like the Arc and Play are also affected.

| Angry Birds Rio Lands On webOS Posted: 08 Apr 2011 03:36 AM PDT Angry Birds has just landed on another platform, the latest version of the game Angry Birds Rio, is now available on HP’s webOS, which is bound to keep webOS smartphone owners happy. Angry Birds Rio has a total of 60 different levels over two different episodes, and the game is available for the HP Palm Pre, the Pre 2 and the HP Pre Plus and it will work with any webOS device running webOS 1.4.5 and above.

| Motorola Droid X2 Photos Leaked Posted: 08 Apr 2011 03:25 AM PDT We have already seen some leaked specifications on the new Motorola Droid X2, and now we have some new photos of this yet to be announced Android smartphone. The guys over at Android Central have managed to get their hands on some pictures of the new Droid X2, and it seems that the Droid X2 was running Android 2.2 Froyo.

| Canon Adds 3D Support To Its Professional Camcorders Posted: 08 Apr 2011 03:23 AM PDT Canon have announced that they will be adding significant enhancements to their Canon XF305 and XF300 Professional Camcorders via an update, which includes the ability to configure the two units for 3D HD video capture. The new 3D function called 3D Assist allows two XF305 or XF300 camcorders to be setup together to capture true 3D HD video. The new firmware update includes the ability to perform OIS Lens Shift to assist in the optically aligning of two camcorders and a Focal Length Guide to display the zoom position of each camera in relation to each other and help calibrate zoom settings. | Time Warner Is Taking Viacom To Court Over iPad Streaming Posted: 08 Apr 2011 03:07 AM PDT Recently we heard that Time Warner was forced to remove a number of TV channels from its TV streaming iPad app, as some of the networks were less than happy about their content being streamed to the iPad. Now Time Warner is taking Viacom to court, in an attempt to make Viacom’s programming available to users of its iPad, and they have filed a request with the court for a Declaratory Judgment.

| Facebook Launches Open Compute Project Posted: 08 Apr 2011 02:51 AM PDT Facebook started building a new data center about a year ago, the aim of the new data center was to make it more efficient but also build it at a lower cost, and now Facebook has decided to share the information learned from building this new data center with the launch of the Open Compute Project. The new Facebook data center was build with the help of a number of companies, which include Dell, HP and AMD, and they have ended up with a new data center that is 38 percent more efficient and 24 percent less expensive to build and run.

| Sony’s Music Unlimited Lands On PSP April 14th Posted: 08 Apr 2011 02:34 AM PDT We heard a rumor recently that Sony’s Music unlimited service would be coming to its hand held portables, particularly the new Sony NGP when it launches, and Sony has just confirmed that Music Unlimited will be available on the Sony PSP from the 14th of April. PSP owners will have access to access millions of tunes and it will be available for the PS3 and the Sony PSP, through Sony’s PlayStation Network.
