OTT messaging systems are poised for a huge increase in messaging traffic, going from 31 trillion messages in 2014 to around 100 trillion by the end of 2019 worldwide. Meanwhile, the revenue generated by those OTT firms will be just under one percent of the numbers realized from both SMS and MMS traffic.
