Apple Remains a Trendsetter with iPhone 5


After the release of the highly anticipated iPhone (News - Alert) 5, many users found themselves disappointed. Chief among their concerns was the lack of a Google Maps app, and there were many features that fell short of expectations. Despite the criticism that it has faced, the iPhone 5 has proved Apple (News - Alert) to be a market leader once again.


Shawn Lee of Display Search Blog predicts that there are several notable features about the iPhone 5 that will set the standard for the smartphones that are released in 2013. Among the features that he anticipates seeing in the next generation of smartphones, taking the lead from Apple are: thinness, an efficient RFPA (radio frequency power amplifier) for LTE (News - Alert), an emphasis on the GPU (graphics processor unit), and a more advance CPU.
