Latest gadgets: Bedol water powered clock

For $25 a pop, you can now get your hands on this fully self-sustainable, environment friendly, hassle free water powered clock from Bedol. It may look rather plastic and cheap but all that is needed to keep this desk clock running for 12-14 weeks at a time is pure, tap water. It even features a built in memory chip so it doesn’t reset the time everytime you re-fill it with water, just like watering a plant.

In some respects this clock reminds me of the NoPoPo rechargeable batteries, which in itself is also a fantastic invention, I’ll let you discover what that is if you haven’t heard of it before.

New Mac Mini is twice as fast thanks to Ivy Bridge

Apple introduced new iMac and MacBook Pro, but if you need something smaller, then the updated Mac Mini might be just what you need.

Mac Mini has been updated, and now it runs on Intel's 3rd generation dual-core Core i5 and quad-core Core i7 Ivy Bridge processors, and these processors are twice faster than the ones used in older Mac Minis.

Speaking of improvements, there's new integrated graphics that is up to 65 percent faster. Additional specs include 4GB RAM that is upgradable up to 16GB, and Intel HD Graphics 4000. Core i5 2.3Ghz model comes with 500GB hard drive, while the quad-core Core i7 model uses 1TB hard drive, but you can upgrade with 256GB SSD or 1TB Fusion Drive.

Additional features include Mini DisplayPort output, HDMI output, Thunderbolt port, four USB 3.0 ports, FireWire 800 port, and SDXC card slot. As for connectivity, new Mac Mini supports Bluetooth 4.0 and WiFi 802.11n.
