For a while there, Nintendo was looking like a slow-motion train wreck, plunging wildly off the rails into obscurity and disaster. Many have even stopped mentioning Nintendo as part of the console wars, leaving it out of conversations about Sony and Microsoft. A new report notes that that may be about to change, as Nintendo's market cap has recently doubled in value thanks to one juggernaut of a game: Pokemon Go. There is a pretty good chance that your existing car uses QNX, which is Blackberry's operating system. Interestingly, the most common places you'll find it is in nuclear power plants, automobiles, hospitals (medical equipment), defense, utilities, and, of course, Blackberry phones. This is why I found myself in a connected car session at the Blackberry Security Summit in New York listening to what is going on with Auto ISAC- the organization driving the standards which will define the next generation car. Take a look around your building today and you're bound to see countless people walking around with their heads down, staring at their phones. The majority of these people aren't checking their email or browsing the Web...they're playing a game called Pokemon GO-a highly addictive mobile application from Nintendo, which is now a global phenomenon.
