Facebook introduces new Nearby Friends feature Posted: 23 Apr 2014 07:43 AM PDT Facebook is constantly introducing new features, and recently Facebook has introduced a new feature called Nearby Friends that should help you get together with your friends. This new feature will share your location with your friends, but if you're concerned about your privacy you should know that this feature is completely optional. In order to see which friends are available nearby you'll have to turn on the Nearby Friends feature, and just like News Feed, this feature has complex sharing options so you can choose with whom you want to share your nearby location. You can share your exact location with a friend for specified amount of time, and that could be extremely useful if you want to find and meet up with your friends easier. This feature uses your GPS, and according to Facebook, this feature won't be too harsh on your battery life, since it will turn off tracking if you're not moving. If you're concerned about your privacy we should mention that this feature is optional and no one will see your location unless you turn this feature on. Vivo is working on a new high-end smartphone Posted: 23 Apr 2014 07:09 AM PDT Last year we wrote about Vivo Xplay 3S smartphone, which was the first Android smartphone with QHD display. Vivo is now working on a new device, so let's have a closer look at it. Vivo has teased its new flagship device, and as far as we know, the new device will have 3GB of RAM, just like its predecessor, but it will use Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 MSM8974-AC chipset. Also, there are hints that we'll see an improved camera, and there are words about ultimate HiFi experience, so there could be an upgrade in phone's audio quality. As for the display, we don't know what kind of display will this device use, but we assume that it will be the same QHD display that was found on the previous model. As you can see, not much information is available about this model, in fact, we don't have a name of the device at the current time, so we'll just have to wait for more information. [via Ubergizmo]
