I recently had a chance to talk to Securus CEO Chris Newton about the company’s product partnerships and their business in general. Newton’s company has an interesting history that is quite different from many M2M solutions providers. Whereas many of the company’s competitors started with the enterprise and built a hardwire system that kept them in one specific market to start, Securus built their Spotlite Pet GPS Locator for retail from the get-go, with a focus on individual sales.
The Securus Spotlite Pet GPS Locator products (there are two versions, each of which employs 2G GPS technology) feature a call center partnership with the American Kennel Club to aid people in finding their pets.
