As tempting as it may be to use unlicensed software, it has been shown repeatedly that such behavior puts business data at risk. Whatever licensing costs are avoided in the short term are more than offset by lost productivity from software that performs poorly (if it performs at all) and the costs of fixing the damage after an attack wreaks havoc on an IT system.
As the owner of the world's largest private undersea cable system, spanning more than 67,000 route kilometers (41,000 miles plus), Global Cloud Xchange (GCX) has introduced Cloud X Fusion, which allows enterprise grade connectivity with direct access to Google Cloud Platform.
Most Americans are unfamiliar with the term patent trolls-companies who buy up patents and then quite literally troll around looking for other companies that may be (mostly inadvertently) violating them.
An alarming trend among large enterprises that poses a major security risk has been revealed by a new survey from Netwrix Corporation. The company queried 700 IT professionals from more than 40 industries and discovered that 70 percent of organizations simply forget about documenting changes, up a whopping 57 percent from last year.

WEBINAR: Achieving Availability and Resiliency in OpenStack Telco Networks

Tuesday May 26, 2015
TIME: 2:00pm ET/ 11:00am PT

OpenStack has been selected as the cloud platform of choice by most Telcos for NFV. While OpenStack supports basic levels of availability it does not support service continuity and stateful fault tolerance. This is a major concern for the Telcos. By inserting a Virtualized Cloud Resilience Layer that transparently brings Telco reliability to any cloud application, Telcos can use OpenStack with the confidence that any application can be deployed with selectable levels of availability, including stateful fault tolerant with geo-redundancy, without required code changes.

What Attendees will learn:

  • How to achieve transparent service continuity with fully stateful fault tolerance with Geo-Redundancy, with no required code changes, in an OpenStack environment
  • How to fully automate a cloud workload environment, with selectable levels of availability, for all applications including control and forwarding planes with different latency requirements
  • How to transform Telco network equipment efficiency from the traditional 45% utilization towards a model that provides 80% to 90% utilization
