As the world we live in continues to accelerate - particularly as far as technology and communications are concerned - the times ahead of us are pretty exciting to think about. This week at its annual user's conference in Arizona, BroadSoft announced support for WebRTC through its BroadSoft Labs online incubator and as a guest participant feature in its UC-One unified communications application. It is supporting Apple's iBeacon, which may lead to some interesting apps down the road. These days, a lot of people are concerned about home security, and with good reason. One such development for likely more than a few people is set to arrive from Jibe Mobile, and over the next several months, it will roll out a new desktop client that allows users to put what amounts to a complete mobile device into a PC desktop browser. WebRTC has an absolutely staggering number of potential uses to it, and that means plenty of exciting new possibilities.
