| Apple iPad Market Share Falls to All Time Low Posted: 27 Jul 2013 08:10 AM PDT If you don't know, Apple managed to win the Harris Poll's Brand of the Year award in three different categories with tablets being one of them. Yes, Apple iPad was selected as the winner for the tablet category. However, according to a data by Trend force, Apple iPad is losing its grip in the market. The iPad has fallen to the lowest point in the global tablet market during the second quarter this year. Apple revealed earlier that iPad shipments fell drastically to 14.6m from 17m. According to Trendforce's research division, this is almost 35.5 percent of the global market share, the lowest Apple has ever hit.

| MediaTek Announced World’s First True Octa-Core Processor Posted: 27 Jul 2013 07:46 AM PDT Looks like MediaTek has some more announcements to make. A few hours back, we reported that the company is working on a Triple-SIM technology that will allow users to use three SIM cards in one handset. Today, the company announced the world's first true octa-core processor. When we hear about "Octa-core" the first thing that comes to mind is Samsung's Exynos 5 Octa, but in that chip, only four cores are active at a time. The same is the case with other manufacturers who claims that the chipset is "octa-core". However, this is not the case with MediaTek's true octa-core. The company says that all the eight cores work simultaneously with maximum performance and efficiency.

| Android 4.3 Has A Hidden Permissions Manager Posted: 27 Jul 2013 06:45 AM PDT It has been a few days since Google released Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. One of the hidden features that many Android users may not have noticed is the permissions manager – App Ops. The feature is hidden by default but it can be enabled either from within the device or by using a third party application. I think it is something similar to the privacy feature in iOS that allows users to fine tune app permissions to access your contacts, camera app, photos, etc.

| Second Generation Nexus 7 To hit Canada Through Staples for $249 Posted: 27 Jul 2013 06:00 AM PDT The much awaited Google Nexus 7 tablet has started appearing in various retails stores across the country. Users in USA can get their hands on the shiny tablet from Google Play Store as well. At the event, it was announced that tablet will hit the markets globally but no specific dates were announced. However, there were no details about the Macbook Pros, powered by Intel's Haswell chip. A new report has emerged from Chinese shores that claims the new Retina Macbook Pros powered by Haswell chip wont ship until October. A few analysts also report that the upgraded Macbooks will be launched before September ends.

During the promotion there is no upfront cost and you only have to pay fixed monthly payments with a 24 month contract, which is different for each device. For instance, Samsung Galaxy S4 is available for $0 down with monthly payments of $25 for 24 months; HTC One is available for $25, iPhone 5 (16GB) for $27, Galaxy Note II for $27.

| Second Generation Nexus 7 Gets Teardown Treatment Posted: 27 Jul 2013 04:15 AM PDT It has been few days since the launch of Nexus 7 and it has received the iFixit treatment. The folks at iFixit got hold of the Nexus tablet and gave it a repairability score of 7 out 10 after tearing it apart, meaning that the device is comparatively easier to fix. The new Nexus 7 is thinner, narrower and taller than its predecessor with not texture on the back cover.

| The New iPhone and Budget iPhone to Be Released on 18 September? Posted: 27 Jul 2013 03:45 AM PDT A few hours back, we share a leaked photo of the much anticipated Budget iPhone that has markings from FCC and other assorted certifications. This suggests that it will not be long before the device will be announced as it's the last step. Now, we have another rumor pointing towards the possible launch date of the Budget iPhone with some information about its pricing and Apple's future plans. It is expected that the next generation iPhone as well as the low cost iPhone will be unveiled on September 18. Interestingly, the report also mentions that the much hyper iPhone Lite will actually be a refereshed iPhone 5 with plastic shells in places to reduce its cost.

| Rumor: Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Will Be Released in Different Sizes Posted: 27 Jul 2013 02:45 AM PDT As they say, when the launch day of any flagship smartphone draws closer, the number of leaks and rumors about that device increases as well. Same is the case with Samsung Galaxy Note 3. First, a number of rumors suggested that the device will bring a 5.99 inch display. Earlier today, it was revealed that Samsung changed their mind and will now bring the device with a 5.7-inch display. Now, another rumor is suggesting that Samsung will bring the device in different screen sizes – 5.5 inch, 5.7 inch and 6 inch.

| Apple Developer Center Is Finally Back Online Posted: 27 Jul 2013 01:45 AM PDT Finally, Apple Developer Center is back online after being offline for more than a week. If you don't know, Apple Developer Center was hacked last week that granted access to personal user information including names, emails addresses and mailing addresses of the developers. However, the company says that sensitive data such as the credit card numbers were not compromised. As a result, the site was taken down to combat the breach. The company did roll out a status page and issued a response about the downtime as well.

The orders made through Google Play Store are expected to ship by 30th July.

| Low Cost iPhone Leaked, Shows FCC Markings And Other Certifications on The Back Posted: 26 Jul 2013 11:30 PM PDT There is no stopping to all the Low-cost iPhone rumors. We have seen the device leaked in photos in the past and was even spotted alongside the current iPhone 5. If all of those images were not enough for you, we have another leaked image that may confirm that the device may be real. A new photo has been leaked from a Chinese website Weibo that shows the back of the device with the same design that we have seen in the past.
