Twitter plunges after missing Wall Street's revenue and profit forecasts. Twitter also revealed a 17% rise in daily active users to 145 million in its third-quarter results, released on Thursday. 4. Puma cautioned on Thursday that it would take a hit from US tariffs on China in the fourth quarter but still raised its sales forecast and narrowed its profit target after a strong third quarter in all regions. Puma has also been moving production out of China to countries like Vietnam, cutting the proportion of products produced in China for the US market to under 25% from more than 50% five years ago. 5. Daimler third-quarter operating profit was down 8% on weaker car and truck sales. Earnings before interest and taxes fell to 2.69 billion euros, down from 2.49 billion euros in the year-earlier period as the trucks division posted a drop in sales. 6. Southwest profit jumps 7.2% as unit revenues rise. It said strong travel demand and higher fares offset the hit from flight cancellations due to the grounding of its Boeing 737 MAX jets. 7.
