Inside Medium's Meltdown

Twitter co-founder Ev Williams launched Medium in 2012 with a mission to fix what he perceived to be the broken world of journalism.

But just four days into 2017, Medium's employees found out that 50 people, or one-third of the employees at the company, had been fired.

Medium had raised $134 million to give the company a valuation of $600 million, but it has since come crashing back down to Earth.
