Mobile World Congress is Over - Time to Take the 'Lead'

Have you noticed how much I love puns?  This is like a Zen Koan to me. Here are my thoughts aided by definitions from dictionary.com.


Lead,as to “to go first; be in advance.” 


MWC certainly did that for the majority of the industry and there were lots of advances, from Management – http://bit.ly/YLtKw6 – to Money http://bit.ly/13EobYx.


Now the question becomes: what happens with the leads (“to result in; tend toward”) from Mobile World Congress as a point of sale?


Sales cycles in Telecom are roughly akin to elephant pregnancies (two years). That’s why it’s essential to jump on the sales opportunity right after the event.  Companies should have a strategy in place that augments their messaging from MWC – particularly, if they’re trying to change a mindset that requires lead time (“to guide in direction, course, action, opinion, etc.”).
